CODE MAGENTA

So I am struggling with a major decision right now. I can not make up my mind whether I should read to little kids tomorrow or stay in English class. Hmmm this decision would be a lot easier if there was a timed-writing. I think I have had enough of little kids, for I had to sing to them ALL DAY LONG. They like to scream a lot, so this means I spent a lot of time in the halls today.

Today was pretty exciting, there was A CODE PURPLE... except not. However the chorus thought there was since we are shut off from the world in the auditorium. So I decided to ESCAPE, bad decision, I got caught. Then while freshmen were literally crying under their chairs I called period 7 English to discover there was no Code Purple. The last time we had a code purple I was in the locker room when I was supposed to be in F-pod. Of course I walked all the way back to f-pod instead of "going to the closest room!"

I was very excited to sing to little kids today because I thought I was going to see little Randolph. Then I learned he quit chorus, oh like mother like son. Having every scene with a 10yr old boy is enough to give one an anxiety attack, but also leads to hilarious improv. Not like One Act improv MO :-)

Speaking of One Act you should probably all go see it Friday @ 7, then blog about it.

Have a fabulous night!

I will take over the Academy someday

Being in the jailhouse for 10 hours is not good one for one’s head. Seriously last year I decided I could not do indoor track AND the musical. This year I am doing neither, but instead signed up for One Act and WTP, not that WTP is a very time-consuming, but my brain is so crammed with other things that I didn‘t want to talk about “how the Bill of Rights has expanded overtime” today. Good thing my group is awesome
. I think I shall go watch Amy Adams sing “Happy Little Working Song.” that will cheer me up.

Ok so I never had a chance to talk about the Oscars except for my little joyous post on Diablo Coty winning in the Original Screenplay category.

-Lets see the show started off crappy since the females decided to wear the ugliest dresses ever! Tilda Swinton should not have won just because she wore a trash bag to the awards.
-John Stewart annoyed me immensely.
-NCFOM freaking won…of course. At least I was prepared for it. That movie is so overrated I can’t get over it.

The Academy just pisses me off because they fall into a certain trend and pick films that fit into this trend for a good chunk of time. Why can’t they just pick the best film!?! The Academy right now wants edgy, dark, suspenseful films that are filled with murder. NCFOM is certainly one of these films and so is last yeas winner “The Departed.” In the 60’s nothing could beat a musical “West Side Story,” “My Fair Lady,” “Oliver.” The 70’s were all about crime films “French Connection,” and “The Godfather Part 1+2” The 80’s favored biographical films “Gandhi,” “Amadeus,” and “The Last Emperor.” Then there were the 90’s of which brought romance and hear-felt films, “Forest Gump,” “Titanic,” “Shakespeare in Love,” and “American Beauty.” With this said :Michael Clayton” definitely would have won in the 70’s and “Atonement,” in the 90’s. There is no way either of those films had a shot this year and it upsets me greatly. I have not seen a film as beautiful as “Atonement,” in a long time.

Whatever the Academy sucks
I must watch American Idol

Vampire Weekend and Heartsrevolution

So today, Cranky suggested a band called Vampire Weekend. I looked them up, listened, and promptly bought their CD on itunes. Wanna know what's weird? The lead singer, Ezra Koenig, used to have a blog, and other people's blogs are how they got famous. LC and I should interview them for our blogumentary.

Another band I heard for the first time today and really like (even though none of you will like it...)

I Love Trash

The only Oscar I'm gonna be watching tonight:

oscar sunday

So tomorrow is the last day of vacation and I could not be more depressed. Thank god it's OSCAR SUNDAY!

So here is my ranking of the films nominated for Best Picture
-Atonement
-There Will be Blood
-Juno
-No Country for Old Men
-Michael Clayton

I know all of you are going to be "Lyke omg...NCFOM is lyke wayyy betta!" Well this is just my personal preference. I think a part of my less than thrilled reaction toward NCFOM was all the hype around it. I think I should have seen it earlier to really form my own opinion on it, instead of being told that "You will love it." I also think NCFOM would have completely sucked if Javier Bardem wasn't so amazing, but I guess the same could be said for Daniel Day Lewis in "There Will be Blood."

-I loved Juno even more after hearing Diable Cotey story. She is a genius and needs to write screen plays for a living now.

-I saw Michael Clayton a couple days ago and I was not that impressed. Although Tom Wilkinson would definitely win the award if Javier Bardem was not in his category...oh well.

-Thats is all, I will probably post every 5 minutes tomorrow
(But I must go read some Joyce and and Vagina Wolf

Have a fabulous Oscar Sunday

Finally!

I have something to blog about!! YAY! Alright, here's the story:

We have a giant window in our diningroom and my sister was just standing there, looking out of it with this really weird look on her face. When she heard me walk into the room she looked at me and said, "Mo, did you put that wine bottle outside?" I looked at her like she was a psychopath and walked to the window to join her.

When I looked outside I noticed that there wasn't only an empty bottle of wine, but one of those mini-bottles of Bacardi, two beer bottles, a beer can, and... a Barbie doll. All of these things were dropped alongside a path of footprints leading from the side of our house to our stream.

We then walked to the living room where our brother (who is in an eyepatch because he got shot with an airsoft gun two days ago, haha) was watching TV. We said, "Did you put the wine, beer, hard alcohol, and Barbie outside?" He looked at us like we were psychopaths and kept watching TV.

So we put on our shoes and sweatshirts (no jackets, it's almost Spring. Yay!) and went to investigate. First the Barbie. My sister asked if it was one of ours and I picked it up to see. I told her "Yes, it's the one with the bendy stomach." Then I looked closer and freaked out: the Barbie had a hole drilled in it's crotch. Gross.

Next, we checked the booze. The wine and Bacardi were empty, but the three beers were unopened. Before we could figure out what to do, our brother opened the big window above us and told us our mom had just pulled in. We decided to just hide everything next to the house. Then we went inside.

My mom came in and started talking about something stupid. My sister said she wanted to tell her, so we told our brother, "If it was you, tell us now, because otherwise we're telling mom." He promised it wasn't him and so we told her. Then we took everything inside, recycled the bottles, put the beer in the fridge, and threw the Barbie out. Then we talked about oil and ate donuts.

The scary thing: Those beers are the kind my dad drinks, the wine is the kind my mom drinks, the Barbie is probably one of my sister's old ones, and the footprints come from the road and stop at the stream. They don't go back.

PS. WHY THE F CAN'T I CHANGE MY FONT SIZE??

vacation is here

Cranky Man was not in school yesterday, so everyone got an extra 2 hours of sleep! Or you had bonding time with Harvard Alumni.
So recently there has been some negative vibe about the whole blogging situation. If anyone finds
lc-ad-mo.blogspot.com please let us know! We really don’t mean to offend anyone. Blogging is just a wonderful hobby ours that entertains us when we are not reading Mrs. Dalloway or making weather predictions.

With that said
HAVE A FABULOUS VACATION

snow day #4

I should be in a great mood, for today was a snow day and Obama is kicking some Clinton ass. However I can not help, but feel a little gloomy.

Why is this...

Because Cranky Man is the worst advisory teacher ever!! He did not give us our match-maker surveys, and now I will never find "true love," at MHS.

This is just fabulous

exuberant

Today in Enlish class Cranky Man said that some of our humanities projects are "ridiculous," of course LCandMO never ever make ridiculois projects...

We read our poems today however none of them compared to Arpil's poem on the Latin queen. It was quite exuberant ( my new favorite word, becuase the nice librarian called me it)

I envy all those that got free pancakes at IHOP today. I was stuck in school for a good 11 hours.

-Have a fabulous Snow Day! (although...it is looking like a delay)

Dear World,

Sadly, I am not quitting to become a meteorologist. I am just waiting for something to blog about.

My video camera is being a dumb hole and isn't working properly. Once we are on friendly terms again, more videos will be up.

For some reason the option to change my font and size is missing. Also, the spell-checker is not working. I am really upset.
