So… how cool were the Oscars last night? Not so much the wins, but just the overall set-up. The previous Oscar winners presenting the awards, the orchestra playing songs from old movies, and the montage sequences of different movie genres from 2008. BRILLIANT! Hugh Jackman wasn’t half bad either, except for that horrendous musical number with Beyonce and the high school musical kids? I am still so confused by this. There were also some good laughs by Ben Stiller, and Jack Black and Jennifer Aniston (these two should be in a movie together).
Now lets get to the actually winners
Penelope Cruz: YAY!
Heath Ledger: YAY!!!
Slumdog: Well…it was better than the rest of the nominees.
Kate Winslet: This was so freaking rigged it makes me sick. Please tell me how someone, who is not the leading actress in a movie wins leading actress. The academy just wanted her to win best actress this year and they knew she didn’t deserve it for Revolutionary Road, so they just decided to throw her other SUPPORTING role in with the leading nominees. Bullshit. I hate the academy.
Sean Penn: I AM GOING TO VOMIT ALL OVER THIS BLOGPOST. Hmmm could it be the academy favoring an actor once again? Mickey Rourke was so freaking bad-ass. My muscles literally ached watching Randy the Ram struggle through his shitty life. But no….the academy always has to honor
1) Sean penn
2) Somebody portraying a real-life character. Well…in my opinion I think it takes more talent to create a character, than it does to depict somebody else.


*oh and did I mention Sean Penn did not sound gay, he just sounded mentally challenged. Hmmm similar to his character SAM in I am Sam.

2009 oscar season is blahhh

I am going skiing this weekend!!!

I am skiing in NY, which is so not as cool as New England skiing, but it will have to do.

The Oscars are on this weekend, and for once I am not that excited. I HATED Benny Buttons and I think Slumdog is overrated. I am really just pumped to see Mickey Rourke and what he is going to say and wear. I will also be infuriated if Kate Winslet wins anything, somebody that desperate for the Oscar should not win... not to mention she is NOT the leading in The Reader.

I need to go catch the megabus.

reminiscing

Nobody even reads this, I miss senior year when it was the highlight of my life. I actually miss senior a lot, I miss just slacking off and causing chaos. I actually spent Saturday reminiscing about Senior year with a friend, it was sad.

Second quarter sucks hardcore. My English class sucks. My European Cinema class has legit homework and my teacher is an ass, and now screenwriting is going downhill. All I have left is Television Studio to make me happy.
I am really frustrated with screenwriting. I WANT TO DO WELL! My professor is the writer of that awful show "Early Edition," ya I watched it in like the 5th grade, but I want to impress him. So anyways my first script kicked ass and he was wicked impressed by me. However, now I am SUCKING! And he is so disappointed me. I don't want to be a one-trick pony.

Oh well, I still look forward to everyday not that Obama is president. My thoughts are "Hmm are wonder what Obama is going to do today, or eat for breakfast."

I have been really home-sick this week :-(
I miss my dogs, snow, family, KK, MO... I wasn't like this last quarter, I don't know I guess I am just depressed because I have been here for a week and a half and everyone else is still at home. I am just overwhelmed with my classes, I signed up for 7 classes because last quarter was super easy, this is the worst idea I have ever had since I enrolled in AP Chemistry last quarter. Although I don't miss high school, I do miss the carefree senior days *sigh*

I finally got my wireless internet back!  Woohoo!  Yay!

Last my my house got egged.  It was pretty funny, but my mom flipped out.  I guess it happened to a lot of houses.  I'm just happy they used white eggs because brown eggs are nastyyyy.

I love Pineapple Express!  I've watched it three times since Thursday, and it doesn't get any less funny.

Last night I had three crazy crazy dreams that were so different but I could remember the earlier ones in the other dreams so it was like one giant story line.  In one of them I almost fell down an elevator shaft and then got shot at by a person in a bed sheet pretending to have a seizure.  It was weird and pretty traumatizing for my dream self.

After being home for 3 weeks I have realized how lame this area is, there is nothing to do, so I just watch marathons of MADE and John & Kate Plus 8 with my dogs, with my sister...I love her now.

My life is a giant pit of boring, and I figured no one wanted to read this:

Today, I didn't study again.  But I did play some video games.  I also played on crutches.  

Also, I don't have internet and I had to come to the hospital just to write this blog.  

Here are some things that are happening:

Snow sucks.

The mall sucks too.

My house is cold.

My dog is grumpy and crazy.

I'm poor.

I finished finals!

That's it.  But I'll try to write every other day.  I'll even make up stuff if I have to!

Doctors, lawters never past 16,000 rupees... he's at 10 million. What can a slumdog possibly know?

I wish I was in high school so I could look at the hour by hour on weather.com and sit in front of channel 10 new; just so I can hope for a snow day...for some reason I still find myself doing this?

I have watched Christmas movies all day long, and it has been the greatest day of my winter break. I freaking love these DVDs filled with cheesy holiday cheer. One was a little too corny and I actually had to stop it, but it was just one of those made for television movies that ABC Family plays.

I finally saw an Oscar contender! Slumdog Millionaire!!! That was quite an entertaining two hours of my night, it was such an interesting way to showcase a story...through "Who Wants to be a Millionaire," how freaking cool. I love how nobody under the age of 30 was in the theater with me...

SNOW DAY!

The second day I am home Marshwood gets a Snow Day :-) I love how I don't even go to high school even more, but I am still excited for everyone else. I wish I still got Snow Days :-( I miss going around telling everyone there is a snow day and to not do homework....ya I had no friends in the winter.

I AM DONE WITH FIRST QUARTER! I was so freaking close to getting a 4.0, and I am bummed that I did not succeed. Design screwed me over pretty hardcore this quarter, academically and financially. I will also never have to see a TRUE cranky English teacher, next quarter I get a twenty something black guy with dreadlocks to teach me English. Cranky Man, you have some competition for coolest English teacher ever.

So I was going to use this vacation to catch up on all Oscar contender flicks, but then I got home and realized Regal only plays shit...so now I will probably just go see Twilight for the 5th time and Milk.

Where is my friend?

This weekend I hated being a film major. I guess because I spent the whole weekend working on this "sophomore's," project...he is 24, and I was miserable. I did not like it at all. Friday night wasn't so bad, but today I was so ready to switch majors. I am trying not let this weekend get to me to much because I don't think the director was talented at all and I didn't learn anything from him.

I have also been very frustrated with my shooting & lighting class. I have come to the conclusions that the kids in the class don't give a damn about anything except for their Indiana Jones hats and their fancy cameras they have at home. So since these kids are fully equipped with Indiana Jones hats and fancy cameras they are able to sleep through every class.
Sleeping through shooting and lighting= failing grades on midterms=failing out of the film program=LC is now the film genius of her class

Well it works out for me, except not really. I am still not learning anything. My professor is literally someone they pulled off the shady streets of Philly because they were desperate. Now I look like a goon compared to all of the other film kids.

I am laughing at you because you are in high school...HAHAHA

Tonight I am so exhausted and I just want my bed. I miss my bed, I let my friend from York sleep in it last night and now it is taken away from me again! ARGH!! My two friends Molly and Alexa have crappy roommates and they got "sexilled," so they helped themselves to my bed. Oh my life. They are lucky I like them so much, well Alexa is basically Mo...so naturally I enjoy her company.

Being a film major is wonderful for one reason:
NO FINALS/MID TERMS! (Kind of)

Oh my goodness I am realizing now how awful my life was in high school...it sucked.
(Except for period 2 English class) I get my work done so early, wait what work? I hardly have work, except for freaking Design projects.

Philadelphians love cherry coke, yes they do.

Today was Veterans Day and I was denied the day off, instead I had 7hr Tuesday and I watched a really boring movie "Best Days of our Lives," the movie was three hours long and they could have easily told the story in 60min.

I cant wait for Thanksgiving, after seeing my mom this weekend I became really homesick.

Two of my cousins are in a band with their friends in which they mostly play covers songs.  One of them commented on my myspace and asked me to check out the song that they wrote.  It's instrumental and despite the goofy name (Super Awesome Beach Monkeys) it's really good.  It would be really great if everyone could go to their myspace and listen to it!
