I can't think of a title.

Today I tried to clean my room, but I think I just made it messier. You can see some carpet though.

I'm dedicating my summer to watching movies. I'm going to watch all the free on demand movies. All of them. Plus some others. So far my favorite movie is still The Chumscrubber, if that changes you will be the first notified.

I'm obsessed with this band. They make me want to get wasted and party forever.

Good for you. I think a film studies minor would be cool for you at Umass. Do they even offer that? They should.

CRANK IT UP!
Did you get their cd yet? We need to have a rave and that's the only cd allowed to be played. If anyone goes near the stereo they get karate kicked and thrown out.

the free ones on On Demand usually suck! Karl let me borrow his set of Stanley Kubrick DVD's, you shoud watch those with me.

Remember that time when we tried to clean you room and we did not throw out anything!

"Laurel, that is my story from Kindergarten, you can't throw that away, it is an important part of my childhood!!!"

jj: I'm not sure I can study film. I just watch it, then I'm done. But I'll look into it, classes consisting of movies movies movies doesn't sound bad at all.

mlb: I got their CD and I love it! I've been listening non stop. I've been practicing karate kicks, so we're all set.

lc: That book is really important. What if I lose my memory? How else will I know that Mr. Potato Head was my favorite toy in Kindergarten? Duh. & I don't know who Stanley K is but I want to watch them with you anyways.

LC: "Eyes Wide Open." That movie is not a movie at all. It is called "Eyes Wide Shut"...but start with that film. It is stunning...sooo bizarre. I hope you are ready for it...

Wait a second, you actually liked Eyes Wide Shut? Kubrick is my favorite director, but that film is just... not good. I might go as far as to say it was bad.

However, Nicole Kidman's ass totally saves the flick. I'd easily place it in my 'Top 3 Asses of All-Time' list.

mramyadams: you said you didn't like it because you didnt understand it.

The name MrAmyAdams pretty-much undermines your cinema credibility. The whole pool-room scene with Sidney Pollack where Cruise goes from Denial to shock to shame to embarassment without saying a word is stunning. And the use of Beethoven is fab. And to see how REALLY rich people--not faux rich--mis-behave was fascinating. And agreed--that Kidman woman has got it going on.

I loved it more for personal reasons. I had just returned from Venice and the masks they wore at the, a-hem, "party" were all Venetian. And i love the scene where NK is smoking and she is lecturing him about morality and ethics. I would watch that movie right now if i could.

And: i just read LC's comment. That explains a ton--most people who hate that movie don't give it a chance because it is so open/abstract.

That is all.
