Once again the middle class is shut out

Dear FAFSA,

YOU SUCK!

LC

Any ideas on what one can do if they plan to take at least a semester off?
(other than blog 24:7 of course)

Have a better night than me!

I agree Laurel.
Fafsa does suck.
My dad put money in his 401k and it made our EFC go up $3,000 even though 401k money is untouchable. Its lame.

LC. Agreed.

That said, I told several students this week that the first semester--or the first year at most--is the most expensive. There is TONS and TONS of funding available to ambitious, industrious, burgeoning film-makers like you. So, although this doesn't help you now (and don't tell your rents i said this) don't let money solely drive your decision.

Easy for me to say but trust me: you have the rest of your life to work (and pay off debt). And your generation's life expectancy is gonna spike to, like, 250 so when you are in your mid-140s you'll look back and laugh.

Buck up little camper!

See my colleges just gave me nothing. Well I am still waiting to hear from American and Northeastern about money, but I can just predict it. The only college that was nice was Drexel, and I NEED to go there, it has a remarkable film program. They pretty much gave me half tuition, other colleges gave me like a $5,000 sholarship, but no Need-Bases $$ EVEN THOUGH I AM POOR! However I still can't afford Drexel, and my parents don't believe in loans.

I told them I was going to be a stipper...that went well.

Strippers really do make a lot of money... I think it's a good plan.

"My parents don't believe in loans": you are being sarcastic, right? I mean, don't they have a mortgage?

Shouldn't you be reading 100Years?
